This is the ADV Music U.S.release of the soundtrack to the third of the latest Mothra movies known in the US as "The Rebirth Of Mothra". These movies are geared more towards children than kaiju loving adults but I still enjoyed the movie. I REALLY enjoyed this CD. In my mind it's the best of the three. Mr. Watanabe seems to have gotten better on each new film. The music on this CD is a great mix of adventure type music and softer, romantic type music. We also have, on Track 4, an updated Mothra song. This is the same song that has been done in the past by The Peanuts & The Cosmos. While the words are the same, the music and instrumentation has been updated and sounds great instead of being annoying or making you cringe as most updates of older songs do. It won't replace or make you forget the original but is a really nice update. On Track #17 there is also a female vocal that sounds like a new song to or about Mothra. In this movie King Ghidorah comes back to fight Mothra. I've played this CD several times already and it grew on me instantly. If you're a Mothra fan, don't pass this one by if you can get it. Also ADV Music has done a very nice job with this U.S. release. If you don't have or can't get the original Japanese disc, then this is a great and affordable alternative.
