REVIEW |
May 30, 2001 Disappointing synthesizer “pop/symphonic” adaption of various Ultraman themes bares little resemblance to the original recordings, especially when the performers attempt to lengthen the cues by “vamping” unrelated motifs. Surprisingly dated in its sound, was this a reissue of a late 1970’s recording? Hard to tell but, the frequent use of a children’s chorus and original sound effects raises the music to a slightly tolerable level of bad disco. In light of the recent releases of original music, it was a waste of money. -- David Hirsch |
