REVIEW |
March 15, 2002 Desciption of the movie from the IMDb database at http://us.imdb.com/ Three apparently unrelated suicides occur on the same day in Tokyo. One involves a young athlete, one a groom at his wedding reception, and the third an elderly man celebrating his wife's birthday. A middle aged detective investigating one of the cases begins to suspect a connection between the three when he discovers that each person mentioned a "green monkey" before they died. With the help of a young psychiatrist he formulates the theory that hypnosis is somehow involved. In the mean time other bizarre "suicides" are reported and the mystery intensifies. Who will be next? What is the truth? Can more deaths be prevented? Disc Review I've never seen this movie but it sounds interesting. The music itself is a mixed bag. Some of the music is slow instrumental and others run in the vein of teckno music with vocals. All in all it wasn't bad and I enjoyed it more after several listens than I did the first time I heard it. It's one of those soundtracks that has to grow on you I suppose. At a running time of only 43:12, I thought there should be more for a movie with a running time of almost 2 hours. I enjoyed the music but wish there had been more instrumental tracks. |
