Kamen Rider Black RX was released in 1988 and was a direct sequel to the previous entry, Kamen Rider Black. Many American viewers may recognize it as the basis of Saban's Masked Rider series during the Power Rangers craze of the nineties.

Eiji Kawamura composed the music for both Black and Black RX. The complete music for Black RX is now collected in this three disc set. Disc one features full versions of all of the songs including karaoke versions. Disc two features most of the BGM (background music) written by Kawamura. Disc three features (I'm assuming) unreleased music and more versions of the songs.

If you are a fan of the series or just of Kawamura, then I heartily recommend this set. It's harder to recommend this set if you own any of the previously released albums. The re-issue of the original TV soundtrack (COCC-72231) is still relatively easy to find, and it's basically identical to the content on disc two. Most of the previous song collections, including 2011's "Complete Song Collection of 20th Century Masked Rider 09: Black RX" (COCX-36973), are pretty similar to what you get on disc one.

So, be aware that if you own any of the previous albums, there will be a lot of overlap. I was also disappointed that a lot of disc three was made up of more variations of the songs. Other than that, this is a solid release that should please fans of the series.
