REVIEW |
January 15, 2007 This is the fifth in the series of recent Space Cruiser Yamato "Eternal Edition" soundtrack CDs. Some of these are sold as two-disc sets and others are single discs (like this one). Even when sold as two-disc sets, each disc is numbered separately. This set contains what are known as Eternal Edition File #7. T This is a nice sounding disc but for me who has not seen these Yamato films, and not being a big anime fan, it sounds very similar to other discs in the series. I enjoyed the music and for fans it may be a must have but I found nothing special about this particualr CD that stood out for me. From CD Japan's website, http://www.cdjapan.jp/detailview.html?KEY=COCX-31159, Yamato 3 was originally aired in Japan in 1980 starting in October and consisted of 2 seasons. The series was produced as a sequel to the theatrical movie "Yamato yo towa ni (Be Forever, Yamato)". The show's music is more symphonic than ever and a full orchestra was used to produce the BGM tracks. From the Starblazers.com website at http://www.starblazers.com/html.php?page_id=73:
