REVIEW |
This soundtrack for "Monster Zero" as it's known in the U.S. starts off with a familiar, rousing march. We also find Akira Ifukube really starting his practice of recycling music from previous films here. A very large amount of the music on this CD is the same or similar to the last CD for "Ghidrah: The Three Headed Monster" #TYCY-5349. In my opinion these two soundtracks are practically interchangeable. If you hear one of these CD's you have basically heard them both. There is a lot of repetition between these two CD's. My personal feeling is that if you have one of these CD's (TYCY-5349 or TYCY-5350) you really don't need the other. If I could only buy one of the two I would probably go for this one. This CD has fewer really short tracks than the previous one and works better as stand alone music. The last three tracks on this disc are instrumental add ons that are OK but seem somewhat out of place on this CD. |
