REVIEW

This CD just came out this year and is another Japanese import CD. The music here is familiar but with a twist. It's done by a brass band. There are only five tracks on this CD and only the first three are music. The running time on this CD is also short, clocking in at 26:31. The last two tracks are sound effects running around the one minute mark each. I would guess this CD is pretty much like a US CD Single.

Surprisingly, the actual music itself is very well done and sounds very close to the original pieces. This was a joy to listen to and I just wish it had been longer. Even though it was done by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra it looks like Akira Ifukube had a hand in it since he is listed as the Supervisor in the limited English in the booklet.

If you get a chance to pick up this piece at a reasonable price go for it. It makes a nice addition to any Godzilla music collection.
