REVIEW |
February 22, 2023 Bukimisha presents their second Heisei-era release with a 30th Anniversary a cappella adaptation of the soundtrack from "Godzilla vs. Mothra" (1992). As always, the group shows great vocal dexterity in their interpretations of Akira Ifukube's musical motifs, effectively capturing the sound and mood of each cue. While the score includes familar themes from Ifukube's previous soundtracks, it also introduces a few new ones, most notably Battra's theme. Bukimisha's virtuoso vocal arrangements convey the full range of drama, terror and beauty of Ifukube's score, creating a truly rich listening experience.
