REVIEW |
October 2, 2023, 2023 Bukimisha presents the third in a series of Heisei-era releases with their 30th Anniversary a cappella adaptation of the soundtrack from "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II" (1993). Like their previous releases, it is a typically outstanding interpretation of the film's complete score, with every melodic nuance of Akira Ifukube's majestic cues captured by the group's distinctive vocal arrangements. The score is a blend of both familiar and newer themes, each one rendered with painstaking care. Once again, Bukimisha stretches the limits of the human voice to triumphantly convey all of the terror, tenderness and awe of the maestro's music, creating a dynamic and truly wonderful listening experience.
