August 25, 2006 This two CD set is done by the Shinsei Nihon Symphony Orchestra being conducted by Kazuo Yamada (born October 19, 1912 - died August 13, 1991). These recordings are probably the last he did before his death. I'm surprised at how short the time is on these two discs. They could almost but not quite all fit on one CD. The first disc is comprised of pieces by four different composers. The reason this disc appears here is that the second disc is entirely composed by Akira Ifukube. LAUDA CONCERTATA appears on several
