Updated May 24, 2001 This is a good sounding CD that contains 10 tracks from the "The Mysterians" CD released 5 years later on the expanded Futureland (TYCY-5499) release. This CD also contains 8 tracks from four other movies: "THE LAST WAR", "SUBMERSION OF JAPAN", "CREST OF THE WOLF" and "GREAT PROPHECIES OF NOSTRADAMUS". "CREST OF THE WOLF" is on "KING OF THE MONSTERS", Disc 7 (as "COAT OF ARMS OF THE WOLF"). "GREAT PROPHESIES OF NOSTRADAMUS" is the alternate title of "CATASTROPHE 1999", which appeared in 1991 on VICL-5080 (coupled with "THE WAR IN SPACE), and in 1996 on its own individual CD on VAP (VPCD-81173). It's also on the "KING OF THE MONSTERS" box set, disc 5, along with "SUBMERSION OF JAPAN", aka "TIDAL WAVE", which was first on CD on Victor (VICL-5081) and later on VAP (VPCD-81172). I don't know if a seperate disc for "CREST OF THE WOLF" exists. The tracks on this CD are in Mono as are the tracks on the Futureland CD. I enjoyed this CD that I won on eBay. If you are a fan of the music in the movie "The Mysterians" (and who wouldn't be) then either this CD or the Futureland CD will suit you. Since they are very similar, either one will do if you can find them. This is also a good disc to pick up for the music to the other four movies if you can find it. |
