This disc by The Peanuts is a re-release on CD of two out of print earlier LP's. Apparently it's the 4th CD in a series of LP re-releases but not all by The Peanuts. I found this to be a delightful CD for a variety of reasons. For one thing, it brings us some out of print LP's on CD without the pops, hiss and crackles. For another thing, the track titles are listed in both Japanese and English. And lastly, many of the tracks are sung in English. Many of the titles here will look familiar because they are also on other CD's, some of them are found on multiple CD's. However it does seem like some of the tracks here appear for the first time on CD. Most of the music is comprised of light ballads from the late 1950's to the early 1960's. To people my age that were youngsters then, many of these tunes will sound very familiar and probably be something our parents may have listened to on the radio. As I have grown older I enjoy and appreciate this music much more now than I did back then. So if you are into Rap and Hip Hop music, this definitely isn't for you. However if you enjoy sweet older ballads, then grab this CD while it's in print.
