REVIEW |
May 30, 2001 Brilliantly realized orchestral adaption of themes from the various incarnations of Ultraman, well performed by The Japanese Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. Practically what one would expect from a full blown feature film score. Each track is performed with all the nostalgic flavor of the TV series’ original scores, but with a grandeur the original orchestras could only hope to achieve. A wonderful sampling covering the Ultra series from the original Ultraman to the more recent Gaia, Tiga, and Dyna series. The only regret is that is that it’s missing Sinsuke Kazato’s wonderful theme from the Australian produced series Ultraman: Towards the Future. -- David Hirsch |
