March 15, 2002 This is a hard to find 3 song 3" single. The three tracks on this CD are very enjoyable but a bit odd. From what I can figure this CD is by an artist or band known as The Edge in Japan. The first track is a vocal sung in Japanese that starts out with Ifukube music and the goes into a fast, if somewhat manic vocal that mentions Godzilla as well as many other kaiju. It's very snappy and enjoyable. Track two is called "Tiny Pride" and is also sung in Japanese. It has the sound of a well done pop song and was also fun to listen to. The last track is the same as the first but with slight differences. I had trouble telling the first and last track apart. I guess the closest I could compare it to would be like the 12" remixes that were popular in the 1980's. I really enjoyed this and wish these singles weren't so hard to find or that I could find a list of them somewhere so I would know what to look for. |
