January 17, 2003 Review courtesy of Sam Scali This rare 1991 release, part of Victor Records' "Soundtrack Masterpiece" series, features stereo re-recordings of music from two early Akira Kurosawa films, "Seven Samurai" and "Rashomon". Because of the age of these movies, the sound quality of the existing soundtracks is not the best, so this CD provides an alternate way of experiencing the highlights from these classic scores. |
