Yoshitaro Nomura's film music collection is famous for various original works. Yasushi Akutagawa is talented as a composer in the field of film music. His music includes much in the traditional Japanese music as far as feel and it fits well in the movies of Nomura.

After personally listening to this CD I can say much of the music on the CD reminded me of music found in suspence movies of the 1940's and 1950's here in the US. In particular several tracks reminded me of something that might be heard in an Alfred Hitchcock movie from that era. I don't know how well the music works in the various Nomura films since I have never seen any of the ones listed on this CD.

Tracks 1-19 & 35-47 are in MONO while tracks 20-34 are STEREO.
