REVIEW |
March 26, 2015 This CD was given to KickStarter backers of this project who gave a certain level and above to bring this concert to 2014's G-Fan convention in Chicago. I gave the right amount in the name of this site because I felt it was a worthwhile project even though I was unable to attend. Backers who gave a lesser amount were given a sampler CD. John DeSentis and friends who put together this project did a heck of a great job and the music on these CD's is fantastic. This is especially so considering almost no orchestra in the U.S. even attempts to play this great music and the sheet music is very difficult to find. The 2 CD set is comprised of music from the films of the 1960's on Disc 1 while Disc 2 is comprised of the 1990's reboots. The packaging indicates only 4 tracks on Disc 2 but there are actually six tracks with track #5 being the End Titles to Godzilla vs. Destoroyah while track #6 is 45 seconds of the audience chanting. The set is a limited edition pressing but there are still some copies left and available to the general public. Here's the ordering info: |
