August 1,2000 This "Ultraman" soundtrack CD has main title tracks and all monster battle themes from Ultra Q, Ultraman, Ultra Seven, Ultra Flight, return of Ultraman, Ultraman ace, Ultraman Taro, and Ultraman Leo. The CD starts out with a 60's sounding fast paced tune that sounds somewhat like a cross between the early James Bond Theme and The Pink Panther. Most of the tracks on this disc are medium to fast paced tunes with a 60's to early 70's feel to them. Track #4 is a vocal track featuring children. Tracks # 11, 28, 32, 36 & 41 are vocal tracks featuring men and children while tracks # 14 & 42 are male vocals. Some of this music has a similar sound to Masaru Satoh's soundtrack to "Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster" and "Son Of Godzilla". A few tracks even reminded me of circus music while a few others reminded me of the music in "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid" during the South American scenes. This CD features quite a few different styles of music but all the tracks were upbeat. Overall this was a surprising and pleasant listening experience. |
